This permanent post will be offered from September 2024. We seek to appoint an outstanding and ambitious PE teacher to join our successful team. The post will be full-time and permanent. We are keen to appoint a teacher who can teach boys’ PE across the age and ability range, who is genuinely passionate about PE and who enables students to work hard and enjoy their lessons.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with good classroom management skills.
- Be enthusiastic and creative.
- A flair for engaging with young people.
- Have strong interpersonal skills.
- Be an effective team member.
- Have a good sense of humour.
- A willingness to commit to extra-curricular activities.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers or ECTs (for whom we have a very effective induction and mentoring programme). The successful applicant will be joining a school with excellent PE facilities including extensive sports fields, full size 3G floodlit pitch, hard court area currently used for netball and tennis, four court sports hall and a gym.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) clearance is required for this role.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
