Overview

Abbey College Cambridge is a leading independent school located in the heart of the historic city of Cambridge.

We are seeking a strong Teacher of Economics to join our vibrant and diverse faculty from September 2024, who will foster a love of Economics amongst our aspirational and determined students.

The Economics Department are a team of experienced educators willing to share resources and best practice. Professional development is encouraged and the department has a culture of self-improvement. Abbey College makes extensive use of IT for learning and is an excellent place to develop your skills in this area.

Qualifications and Experience

You should demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Economics and have a proven track record of successful teaching and inspiring students. You will need to be an excellent communicator, highly organised and able to manage your own workload.

You will hold a degree in Economics or a related subject and ideally have a PGCE in Education or equivalent teaching qualification. You will be forward-thinking and innovative, exploring ways in which we can further support students and provide opportunities for all of our community to reflect the school's values. You will be a highly motivated, and creative individual who has a passion for teaching and inspiring students to outstanding achievement.
