We require for September 2024, a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of History to join our thriving and successful team. We offer the successful candidate a commitment to providing excellent professional development and full support in developing their career. We have an excellent programme to support ECT’s and applications would be very much welcomed from teachers new to the profession. Although there is a full-time role available, we would also welcome applications from candidates who would prefer a part-time contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to join this rapidly expanding, oversubscribed academy that has been judged by Ofsted to be Outstanding in both 2009 and 2013. The School has a long held tradition of high academic standards nurtured within a caring, inclusive school community. We have a successful track record of providing an education which delivers consistently high standards as well as the resilience and emotional intelligence which ensures that our young people have the potential to be leaders of the future.
History is highly successful and is one of the School’s lead Departments. The subject is very popular, and students gain very good standards of achievement but also enjoy excellent learning experiences. There is a strong team approach in the Department and the School as a whole.
Bartholomew School is sited in the village of Eynsham 5 miles from Oxford (with easy transport links) and serves the surrounding rural area.
