Position: Teacher of Humanities

Contract type: Permanent, full time
Pay: GBP30,000 GBP46,525 (MPS/UPS)
Salary is dependent on experience, training, and qualifications.

The role
We are proud to be working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming secondary school in the Crewe area to recruit a Teacher of Humanities for a permanent position. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and outward thinking as they will be joining an innovative and supportive faculty.
By working in collaboration with departmental colleagues and wider school staff your focus will be to raise attainment within Humanities across Key Stages 3 & 4. Through strong subject knowledge and a passion for your subject the successful candidate will nurture positive relationships with young people and develop an enthusiasm for Humanities. You will teach your specialist subject (History, Geography or RE) at Key Stage 3 and GCSE as well as an additional Humanities subject at KS3.
Main duties of the role include:
- To facilitate a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential
- To contribute to the maximising of student attainment
- To ensure a safe, productive, and engaging learning environment
- To develop teaching resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies for Humanities through collaboration with other department members

Requirements
Experience and qualifications required for this Teacher of Humanities position include:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience delivering your specialist Humanities subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4
- The ability to build positive relationships with both learners and colleagues
- Strong subject knowledge
