Job Overview:
They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Studies to join their team from September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire students to explore and understand a variety of Religious and ethical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
· Develop a curriculum that is inclusive, diverse, and reflective of the multicultural nature of their student body.
· Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help each student achieve their full potential.
· Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn.
· Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
· Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and continuous professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
· A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
· Proven experience teaching Religious Studies at the secondary school level.
· Strong knowledge of world religions, ethical theories, and contemporary religious issues.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom.
· Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
