Milk Education are working with a SEND school in Salford who are looking to appoint teachers with QTS immediately. This is a long term post, that has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person. They are looking to appoint someone who has experience supporting children with complex needs, as well as physical disabilities. The SEND needs of the children at the school include Down's Syndrome, those that require the use of a wheelchair and those that are non-verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering lessons across different subjects
- Engaging students in the learning process and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting students with their learning, aiding and guidance as needed.
- Adhering to school policies and procedures
- Collaborating with other staff members and following the direction of the school leadership team.
- Providing feedback to regular class teachers regarding students’ progress and any challenges faced during lessons.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A passion for education and a desire to make a positive difference.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in various school environments.
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning space.
- Have experience working with children or young adults with SEND/complex needs
- Already having prior experience of working with children or young adults that are non-verbal is preferable
