Job description

Join one of the world’s leading international business schools…

Alliance Manchester Business School is seeking to appoint a talented and motivated individual to work in the area of Assessment & Progression in the MBA & Global Operations team structure across all our programmes in the School.

Alliance Manchester Business School is the largest campus-based business and management school in the UK. We provide world-class business and management education to undergraduates, postgraduates, experienced practitioners, and those with serious academic and research ambitions. We are an international and progressive school, delivering cutting edge business thinking and teaching informed by the contemporary commercial environment.

Launched as one of the first MBA programmes in the UK in the 1960s and with a proud history, the FT MBA is one of the key reputation drivers of AMBS. The key distinctive features of our FT MBA programme include a focus on experiential and consultancy-led learning, a global outlook and a behavioural approach. The Global MBA has been delivered transnationally since 1992 through the network of UoM international centres.

This role will better support all of our programmes; supporting our students, delivering world class programmes and student experience which is at the heart of what we do.

The Teaching & Learning Assessment & Progression Administrator will take responsibility for the administration of assessment and progression activity for the suite of Global & MBA Programmes.  A flexible, adaptable and proactive approach is vital given the blended/distance learning nature of the programmes that are delivered and the challenges that can arise as a result.

The successful candidate should have relevant knowledge and experience, including Teaching and Learning, and/or student administrative policies and procedures; the ability to be flexible and provide support for colleagues; and good digital literacy skills.

What you will get in return:

  • Fantastic market leading Pension scheme
  • Excellent employee health and wellbeing services including an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Exceptional starting annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays
  • Additional paid closure over the Christmas period
  • Local and national discounts at a range of major retailers

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.  All appointments are made on merit.

Our University is positive about flexible working – you can find out more here
