Summary
An amazing and rare opportunity to join the team at Belthorn Academy Primary School. The staff and governors are seeking to appoint a TEACHING ASSISTANT to join the Belthorn family. The vacancy is for a TEACHING ASSISTANT to join one of our KS2 classes, we're looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed person to join the team.
We are looking for someone who:
  • will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high quality learning experiences for the children
  • work within the Key Stage 2 environment
  • is organised - a team player and has great team-spirit
  • has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour - has high standards of English and Maths - is able to offer small group intervention sessions
  • will engage with professional development opportunities, training sessions and CPD - is highly motivated, flexible, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
  • can support the school's vision and values
  • Is flexible and rises to a challenge

    This is a term time only position, working hours are 9am- 3:30pm, this includes one hour welfare cover at lunch time and a 30 minute lunch break. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview process which will adhere to current Government guidelines.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post. GCSE Grade C or above English and Mathematics or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • First Aid training
  • Safeguarding training

Essential Experience
Experience working as class TEACHING ASSISTANT

Desirable Experience
  • Experience of phonics
  • Experience of delivering interventions one to one and in small groups
