Champions Tuition delivers high quality teaching above national curriculum level for pupils in KS2 and KS3
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
We are Champions Tuition, a local tutoring company, passionate about high-level, accessible education for as many as possible. We are composed of a small, dedicated team, who specialise in English and Maths, up to GCSE level. We are looking for a tutor to work on Sundays and who would be willing to teach a GCSE class and an 11+ class.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
- Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement
- Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
- Administer routine tests and invigilate exams and undertake routine marking of pupils’ work.
- Provide clerical/admin support e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, money, administer coursework etc.
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school/tuition centre.
- Help keep children on task by giving them individual attention where necessary and help them to become successful learners
SKILLS
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to educate and support students in their learning journey
- Patience and empathy when working with individuals who require additional assistance
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment
