• Salary: Grade C – £17,178 – £17,463 per annum, pro –rated (£22,737 – £23,114 FTE)
• Permanent
• 32.5 hours per week
• Term-time plus one week (39 weeks per year)

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Norwich Road Academy for the position of Teaching Assistant. 

Teaching Assistant’s are instrumental to support pupils and Teachers’ in class to ensure the effective delivery of teaching and learning. A Teaching Assistant will also undertake intervention sessions and learning programmes to support individuals or groups of pupils to develop their knowledge and for additional support in their learning journey. This includes support for pupils’ that have additional or more specialist educational needs.

You will work closely under the direction of the Class Teacher to support the preparation, delivery and monitoring of teaching and learning. 

• Under direction of Teachers’ and the Senior Leadership Team, you will support individual pupils or groups of pupils with specific learning activities, providing additional support to those that require additional or more specialist educational needs.
• You will play a pivotal role in ensuring pupil wellbeing, progress and discipline and will provide regular feedback from monitoring pupils’ work and engagement to support Teachers’ and pastoral teams to identify and evaluate the impact of teaching, learning and emotional support.
• You will work in line with the Academy and Trust policies and procedures, supporting to create an environment of the Academy values to achieve our mission statement of ‘building a love of learning together’. 
• You will undertake mandatory training and embrace continuous growth through Academy training as well as taking responsibility for your own personal development.
