SalaryOur exciting company Vara Sports & Vara Education is looking for someone who is passionate about sport and coaching children. We want an enthusiastic sports coach who can motivate and inspire our wonderful children to get active and enjoy sport.
This role is unique, you will be required to run a sports lunchtime club and a sports after school club. In between lunch and after school, you will be a Teaching Assistant to a 1:1 child in KS2. During the holidays, you will be required to coach at our sports camps. There is a guaranteed option for overtime.
Hours & Days
Monday-Friday (5 days)
8:30pm-4:15pm (36.5 hours per week)
Pay : Salary of £20,100.00 per year.
There will be a chance for overtime during half term.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Running a sports club at lunch and after school club
- Ensuring all children are engaged, safe and having fun
- Planning sports sessions
- Assisting the class teacher
We need our TA/Sports coach to have the following skills:
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of sports
- A good communicator and motivator who develops positive relationships with children
- A team player who can work flexibly and reliably
- Highly organised and able to manage time effectively
- An inclusive approach to sport
- A professional manner
- Experienced working as a Teaching Assistant with a 1:1 child
- Great behaviour management is key.
Desirable:
- A level 2 or above in any sport or a degree in sport
- One year experience in a school environment
- A DBS (However, a new one will be provided for you if you are successful)
