Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Secondary School in Cheshunt for a Teaching Assistant.

Contract beginning immediately, ongoing contract.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in the classroom to enhance their participation and knowledge acquisition
• Foster social skill development by reinforcing appropriate behaviour
• Supervise and assist designated student groups, as directed by the SENCO/INCO
• Mentor individual student groups and assist in setting achievable targets
• Cultivate positive relationships with students to boost self-esteem and confidence
• Address students' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, and welfare matters, ensuring full access to the learning experience for optimal potential fulfilment

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is mandatory
• A good understanding of the English, Maths, and Science curriculum (or a willingness to learn before the role starts)
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
