Proxi Education is a small business in Belsize Park, Greater London. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to Proxi Education is a not-for-profit, cooperative supply service, set up by supply teachers for supply teachers. Members of the National Supply Teachers Network (https://nstn.whitefuse.net/) have set up Proxi Education in a move to reverse the year-on-year decline in supply teacher wages and conditions of work. By removing the need to make a profit, Proxi is better for the teachers (offering better pay and conditions, possibly even one day access to Teachers Pension Scheme), better for the schools (transparent pricing structure, access to the teachers they want, no agency finders fees if they wish to employ teachers directly) and better for English education in general (retaining experienced teachers in education and keeping ECTs from leaving the profession early)..

Job Summary: The school are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting students, especially those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with autism, and possess strong communication and mentoring skills.
Duties:- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational activities for students, possibly with special needs- Support individual students in their learning, providing guidance and encouragement- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individual education plans- Communicate effectively with both students and colleagues to ensure progress and well-being- Provide one-to-one tutoring and small group support as required
Requirements:- Previous experience working with children, especially those with autism, is desirable - Ability to mentor and educate students effectively- Strong communication skills to interact with students, teachers, and parents- A passion for supporting the educational development of young people- Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are desirable
