A school in Hull are looking for a bright and passionate individual, who is eager to undertake a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship and can act as a role model to the aspiring students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Ensure pupils that you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity
- Listen to pupils read and read to pupils as a class, group or one-to-one
- Support the social and emotional development of pupil report issues to the teacher when required
- Support the teacher in managing challenging pupil behaviour and promoting positive behaviour
- Help the teacher with the planning of lessons
- Guide and monitor pupil progression
- Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupil progress
- Help with extracurricular activity such as breakfast and afterschool club or lunchtime duties
- Carry out administrative duties, such as preparing classroom resources
Progression: Upon the completion of your Apprenticeship, you may be offered permanent employment within the school and continue learning as a Teaching Assistant. Within the next three to five years, you may be able to undertake a teaching degree with support from the school.
