Location: Skelmersdale
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children within a designated SEND provision (DSP) in a primary school located in Skelmersdale.
Responsibilities:
- Providing support to children ranging from Year 2 to Year 6 with various SEND, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
- Assisting in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities to meet the diverse needs of the students.
- Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of various SEND conditions and effective strategies to support learning and behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous.
