Smile Education are working with a fantastic independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Dedicated to fostering growth and learning, this school passionately supports and educates students diagnosed with Autism and related conditions. The school is currently on an improvement journey, and they are looking for enthusiastic, experienced, and proactive Teaching Assistants to play an integral part in this transformative process.
Key Highlights of this Teaching Assistant Role:
- Engaging and supportive environment within a small, independent SEN school
- Supporting students with Autism and related conditions
- Full-time, long-term role with an immediate start
- £80-£100 per day, depending on experience
- Providing one-to-one support and guidance to students
- Working alongside the classroom teacher, SENDCo, parents, and outside agencies, to ensure that the needs of all students are met
- Contributing to the preparation of learning resources
- Supporting the overall wellbeing and happiness of the pupils
- Helping to create an inclusive, warm, and supportive learning environment.
What are we looking for?
- Level 3 (or working towards) in child development/education/related field.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
- Previous experience working in an educational setting
- Proactive mindset, ready to take initiative and actively participate
- Driving license and access to a car is essential
