- Assessing wellbeing needs of students is essential to the role.
- Shadowing speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and more!
- You will receive training alongside class teaching and additional support training for SEN.
- The school has recently renovated their Autism Provision to house specialist equipment!
Teaching Assistant - Autism Provision: The Role
- Pay: 95-105 per day
- Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 (with a 30 minute break)
- 1 Year Contract with option to become permanent
- Supporting students with Autism in EYFS-KS2
- Working in and out of class in 1:1 and small group interventions
- Supporting the implementation of care plans, and individual targets for students
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Shadowing speech and language therapists
Teaching Assistant - Autism Provision: Person Specification
- Holds a 1:1 or 2:1 degree - Essential
- Experience working with children - Essential
- Confident, down-to-earth, and patient personality
- Knowledge of SEN
- Strong communication skills
