We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant on behalf of a wonderful primary school in S66. We urgently require a Teaching Assistant to work full time from after Easter to the end of the academic year. The role would be working across school as required, but primarily in KS2 to support EHCP pupils, most of whom are in Y6.
The successful candidate will receive a warm welcome from children, staff, parents, and governors. The school staff work very hard to create an environment where children feel secure, happy, and motivated to learn. Pupils are at the heart of all the decisions that are made, and they aim to provide opportunities that are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
To be considered for this role you will:
- Have a proven track record of working within a primary school with SEND pupils.
- Have good curriculum knowledge and be able to support pupils in upper KS2 with their lessons.
- Support pupils in the classroom directed by the class teacher.
- Provide interventions and small group work with learners in the classroom.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school behaviour policy.
- Prepare resources, the classroom and support the teacher.
- Liaise with the class teacher, pastoral team, and senior leaders in school.
