As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
?? Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN and SEMH challenges. ?? Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, assisting with academic tasks and promoting positive behavior and emotional well-being. ?? Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and supported in their personal and academic growth. ?? Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies. ?? Build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement, empathy, and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve success.
What we're looking for:
?? Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting is desirable but not essential. ?? Passion for working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. ?? Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with students and colleagues. ?? Strong communication and teamwork skills. ?? Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards supporting the diverse needs of students.
