• Salary: Scale D – £12.18 – £12.38 per hour

Cringleford School is a modern school, located just off the A11 /A47 Thickthorn interchange so provides easy access for staff.  We are also on the main bus routes from central Norwich.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with High Needs in KS2. The role will start as soon as possible in 2024 and will initially be a temporary role until December 2024; there may be a possibility of this being extended.

Hours of work: 8.30 to 3.15pm Monday to Friday with ½ hour lunch

We are looking for a candidate who:

• has experience working with children with SEN, particularly supporting pupils with social, emotional mental health difficulties and cognition and learning difficulties
• is enthusiastic about supporting children with SEN to be included and to reach their potential
• is able to support the children to overcome their barriers to learning in order to make academic and social progress
• Ideally has experience working in KS2
• can form positive relationships with children, parents and staff
• has a calm, patient approach to supporting the needs of children
• is able to work independently
• is able to use his / her initiative to support learning & behaviour
• is adaptable to situations and willing to work as part of a team
• has good literacy / numeracy skills and able to communicate well with supporting professionals
• is an effective team member who is flexible and able to work closely with colleagues
• is an excellent role model.
