TEACHING ASSISTANT / TEACHER LANCASTER SUITABLE FOR ECT/NQT

HYBRID POSITION - TEACHING ASSISTANT WITH TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES - JANUARY 2024 TO JULY 2024

A primary school in the Lancaster area are looking for a new, dedicated and motivated member of the team to work across the school, but predominately working in EYFS. This is a fixed-term position, working 30 hours per week until the end of the school year.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in pre-school/nursery and support the wrap around/extended provision when required. As well as supporting in a TEACHING ASSISTANT capacity, there will be an element of teaching and delivering lessons to small groups of children.

The school are looking to recruit a creative, innovative, and reliable individual who has a good understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED standards. You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a caring learning environment for all pupils, whilst creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the families. They are looking for someone who can be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school, relates well to children of all abilities and is committed to promoting progress for all.
The successful candidate must be a positive role model, have good communication skills and most importantly have energy, a cheerful manner, and a good sense of humour.

THIS POSITION COULD BE SUITED TO AN ECT / NEWLY QUALIFIED TEACHER WHO WOULD LIKE TO GAIN MORE EXPERIENCE IN A SCHOOL SETTING BEFORE STARTING FULL TIME TEACHING.

Work Pattern: Monday-Friday 9:00-3:30pm unless wrap around/extended provision is required.

• Someone with strong experience of working with Early Years
• NVQL3 qualification or equivalent.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ L3 or equivalent appropriate to the post.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent)

Desirable Qualifications

• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Essential Experience

• To have experience of working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage/KS1 classroom.
• To be committed to providing high quality experiences for children.
• To have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Desirable Experience

• Experience of working with mixed age classes.
