Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with SEND. The successful candidate will work closely with our teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students. This role involves providing one-on-one support, small group interventions, and assisting in the overall development and well-being of children with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons for students with SEND.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing their individual needs and learning styles.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children with SEND.
- Knowledge of various SEND conditions and effective strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
