Kingston College are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support and mentor adult learners studying a range of programmes across the School. This will include Access to HE programmes, Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy and Early Years and Counselling.
You will support learners to access the curriculum, providing a mix of in class support, 1-1 support and assignment workshop support, to ensure successful completion of their qualifications. This could include helping them develop skills in report writing, essay writing, understanding, time management, reading and writing.
We’d like our Teaching Assistant to have experience of a similar role, supporting/mentoring young people or adults within an educational setting. You will have good working knowledge of relevant legislation and Codes of Practice such as SEND and safeguarding and have good administrative skills to keep high quality written records of learners’ smart targets. You will communicate effectively at all levels and work well under pressure, to strict deadlines. The role will include evening work.
