Team Leader, up to £37,000 including sleep allowance - Cannock.

We are working with an established Children's Residential provider to recruit a Team Leader to join their home in Cannock. This is a full-time role where you must be flexible to work shifts as well as sleep-in shifts. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers, managing all risks, planning and documenting the progress of the young persons, and communicating effectively with the rest of the team. The successful candidate must also have a thorough knowledge of current legislation. This Residential Home offers space for 3 children and young people aged 8-18.

The role offers a very competitive salary plus benefits, including a quality bespoke training package and generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts. They specialize in supporting children and young people who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may display challenging behaviors. You must have the following qualifications and qualities:

- Full Manual Driving License

- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, or equivalent

- A passion for Continuous Professional Development

- A clear passion and desire to support children and young people

In exchange, you will receive:

- £37,000 per year (including sleep-in allowance), plus overtime rates

- 28 days Annual Leave, rising to 33 days with 5 years of service

The duties of the Team Leader include:

- Ensuring shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers

- Safely managing all risks in line with company policies and procedures

- Communicating effectively with the team regarding the daily plans

- Providing reports and documentation that reflect the progress of the young person using paperless systems and tools

- Reviewing the young people's care plans and other associated documentation

- Undertaking an in-depth quality and bespoke training package

- Attending staff meetings and being proactive in developing and improving the service model

- Acting as an advocate for the young person while using a positive parenting model

- Working with young people using positive support strategies, including de-escalation tools and techniques using in-house training (PRICE)
