We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our Ranelagh Road team.
Ranelagh Road is a supported living scheme in Newham for up to 16 people with learning disabilities. The scheme provides a supportive and stable environment in which residents are encouraged to develop their independent living skills. The scheme is staffed 24 hours a day with a member of staff sleeping in at night. Each resident has a self-contained flat with a lounge, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The facilities provided also include a communal garden, a kitchen/diner and laundry room.
We follow the ethos of Positive Behaviour Support, engaging individuals in active support and focusing on community participation.
As the Team Leader you will assist the Locality Manager with the operational delivery of the scheme and will be responsible for supervising and motivating a team of support workers to provide person centred care and support services for individuals with learning disabilities and other complex needs. You will also assist with managing the financial and administrative procedures of the scheme on a day-to-day basis.
To be successful in the role you will have:
· Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities and other complex needs in a supported living environment
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of positive behaviour support and proven ability to work in a person-centred way
· Experience supervising and motivating staff to deliver person centred care and support
· Working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and workplace health and safety requirements including guidance for lone working
· Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and relevant management qualifications or working towards

You will be required to cover rotas working weekends, mornings, afternoon shifts and sleep-ins according to the service needs.
