Job description

Our team is growing! We need Team Leaders to oversee and supervise our first intake of Wellbeing Support Practitioners at our brand new state of the art respite accommodation in the Southwick area.
We have two full time Team Leader positions available for start dates in mid August
*full-time positions will be working a 42 hour week

Position Overview:
Cura Care UK is seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to oversee our team of Wellbeing Support Practitioners. As a Team Leader, you will be instrumental in guiding and supporting your team to enhance the quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or mental health challenges. Your leadership will ensure that our services are delivered with empathy and professionalism, adhering to the 7 Keys to Citizenship principles.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising our teams in our respite accommodation service, ensuring that high-quality care and support are provided to individuals during their short stays. You will oversee the delivery of person-centred support, promoting independence, and creating community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Person-Centred Support: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on service users' needs, preferences, and aspirations, ensuring that their voice and choice are at the forefront of decision-making
Enhancing Independence: Support individuals in acquiring and maintaining daily living skills, promoting self-sufficiency and autonomy
Community Inclusion: Encourage active participation in community life by facilitating access to social, recreational, and vocational activities that align with service users' interests
Emotional Wellbeing: Provide emotional support, actively listen, and assist individuals in managing their mental health, promoting positive mental well-being
Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and interests of service users, ensuring they have a say in decisions that affect their lives, and supporting them in making informed choices
Health and Wellbeing: Assist in maintaining the physical health of service users by administering medication, coordinating healthcare appointments, and promoting healthy lifestyles
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including progress notes, incident reports, and assessments, in compliance with regulatory requirements and Organisational standards
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential
A relevant level 3 or above qualification in health and Social Care or a related field
At least 3 years experience in a care setting, preferably with adults working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or mental health challenges
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient demeanour
Ability to lead and supervise a team
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Basic knowledge of medication administration and personal care routines
Understanding of safeguarding principles
Valid driver’s license
Desirable
Knowledge of the 7 Keys to Citizenship principles and a commitment to their implementation
Experience in organising recreational activities
