Job Advert: Team Manager - Adoption Team
Location: East of England, Essex
Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are assisting a local authority in Essex to recruit a temporary Team Manager for their adoption service.
Role Overview:
* Manage and develop the adoption service.
* Maintain and build links with statutory and voluntary organizations.
* Lead, motivate, and review team performance, identifying skill gaps and training needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Adoption Team for optimal child outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and government guidance.
* Prepare for and manage inspections.
* Monitor and track permanence planning for looked-after children.
* Ensure adherence to National Minimum Standards and child protection processes.
* Develop data recording mechanisms for performance monitoring.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including equality legislation.
* Provide supervision and performance management for staff.
* Use restorative practice model to support staff.
Working Arrangements:
* Hybrid working available, with a minimum of 2 days onsite.
Requirements:
* Recognised Social Work qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Completed ASYE.
* 4+ years' experience with children and families, fostering/adoption services.
