Academic Appointments are working with a school based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to deliver interventions throughout KS1 and KS2.
The pupils needing support range from Y1 to Y6 and have moderate learning difficulties. Working on specific targets and keeping daily records of progress and next steps is essential and must be fed back to the class teacher daily.
Requirements:
To be considered for the teaching assistant position, you will:
- Hold a teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Working knowledge of Safeguarding policy is highly desirable.
- Have experience working in a primary school setting
- Have some knowledge of the National Curriculum and maintaining records
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
- 2 x references (including your last employer)
