In the role of Technical Administrator your duties will include:
- Supporting the Network Occupancy Manager in street works management, abnormal loads management, temporary and permanent traffic order management, highway regulatory and enforcement management & Special Events Co-ordination and Planning
- Providing administrative support
- Assist the Manager and Team with associated function
- To administer and manage records and data
- Recording, distribution and monitoring of technical advice from service providers
- To be the principal point of contact
- Assisting in the preparation of information required for internal and external reports
- To attend meetings as required
- Design, implement, develop and maintain administration systems, including filing, storage and retrieval, to meet service specifications and ensure that all work is undertaken to a high standard
- Construction sites visits
- Deal with enquiries from the general public
- To deal with complaints and enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job
To be successful In the role of Technical Administrator you will need:
- Good communication skills
- Display personal initiative and the ability to deal with people in a courteous, sensitive and professional manner
- Ability to prioritise work and respond positively to tight working deadlines5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above) including, English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications)
- Experience of technical administration in a busy office environment
- Experience of dealing sensitively and diplomatically with queries and complaints by members of the public, contractors and elected members.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of financial systems for ordering / invoicing
- IT
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Be able to undertake basic calculations and data analysis, and be able to produce basic reports for management
- Full UK licence
This is a full time temporary role for at least 6 months, working Monday – Friday but will require occasional working outside normal office hours. On an hourly rate of £14.88 plus holiday pay & pension.
