Your Role

• Work with the leadership of the CDD business, product ownership and Engineering, helping them define their technology vision and strategy.
• Lead the target architecture definition and delivery, including identification of opportunities for simplification.
• Be one of the principal enablers in ensuring the CDD Business strategy is able to be realised through identifying, designing and supporting the delivery of the key Technical Capabilities with the CDD technology estate.
• Participating in technical design and oversee all technology related issues of cloud native product development, building a micro-services based architecture, promoting
• Creating and owning architecture deliverables as part of the project architecture team.
• Ensuring the architecture governance practices are followed and designs are correctly aligned and supportive of the related Compliance & HSBC strategies (Tech, Data, Cloud, Security, etc.).
• Liaising with other geographically dispersed teams to coordinate solution design.
• Producing both written and verbal knowledge transfer documentation in preparation for transitioning the solution to BAU ownership by the client.
• Understanding the business and organizational context of the client engagement and using this knowledge to reduce risks.

Required

• Must have: Proven ability to define and build architecturally sound solution designs; Hands on experience on developing APIs using Java, Spring boot libraries.
• Familiarity with API design, REST including versioning, isolation, and micro-services, and an awareness of micro-service architectures along with Kubernetes.
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of enterprise level software development and API based integration e.g. Spring, Kong
• Strong experience of Cloud design patterns, cloud native product development preferably GCP.
• Exposure to DevOps & Agile Project methodology such as Scrum
• Experience of automated unit testing, automated integration testing and a fully automated build and deployment process as part of DevOps tooling.
• Familiarity with technology concepts, roles, and terminology, and the ability to work closely with application architects and modelers.
• Candidate must be visa-independent to work in the UK
