My client is a market leader in the travel retail space with a specific focus on digital commerce. They are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect who can leverage their expertise in technical design to revitalise their product suite, improving functionality and developing new features. With the ability to collaborate effectively with Project Management, Business Analysis and Technical teams, you will operate in a customer facing capacity to provide support in the implementation of these innovative products, meeting the clients’ needs and expectations.

Technical Architect – Responsibilities:

• Develop architecture and specific solutions with Engineering Teams.
• Translate business requirements into system-level design and detailed technical documentation, providing consultancy services to clients as they move through the implementation phase.
• Lead the implementation team to deliver tailored products that meet customer requirements, while taking ownership of architectural decisions and best practices.
• Keep on top of industry standards, collaborating with leaders on the prioritization and execution of ongoing platform improvement initiatives, ensuring non-functional requirements are met.
• Identify and implement development environment improvements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the long-term evolution of the full product suite.

Technical Architect – Required Experience:

• Experience in a Tech Lead or Architect capacity. With hands-on experience in software development across the a combination of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Cloud (AWS/Azure), SOA, JBoss, Tomcat, JDBC, SOAP, REST.
• Experience in E-Commerce industry is preferable, working on mission-critical systems with high-transaction volume.
• Experience in Technical Design, including Technical, Business and Data Architecture.
• Customer facing experience, delivering high quality design documentation.
• Previous experience in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture.
• Experience working with database systems – Oracle, MongoDB.
