Technical Author

The Opportunity:

After a number of exciting tender wins my client requires a Technical Author/Documentation Manager to analyse, develop and deliver Technical Publications for a portfolio of Installation and Maintenance contracts.

You will occupy a lead role in the engineering documentation team, working closely with other departments to develop complex engineering descriptive and procedural documentation.

The ideal candidate will be apt in the production of technical publications/manuals for external customers, while ensuring all documentation provides accurate operating and maintenance instructions.

Experience in the Intelligent Transport or roadside technology industries is preferred, but not essential.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Technical Authoring/writing is an engineering environment essential
• Have a clear understanding of the publication development, production and upkeep processes
• Experience in liaising with product suppliers in support of technical publication technologies
• Able to maintaining personal and technical reports, records of all technical publication activities to a high standard.
• Experience in the smart motorway/highways technology industry would be highly beneficial
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas if requires
