We are working with an industry leader in the fabrication and equipment manufacturing sector currently on the lookout for a Buyer to join their team. All applicants must be happy taking technical drawings/diagrams and using them to scope material requirements for new projects. Candidates without that level of technical understanding will not be right for the role. Ideal industries to come from are equipment manufacturing, aerospace, rail, metal fabrication and electrical manufacturing.
Day to day, you will work with engineering drawings and specifications in order to price and procure appropriate materials for projects. You will support the delivery & performance of the Site Operational team by delivering a high standard of purchasing and supply chain administration. You will achieve this by working together as part of a team of people and liaising with your Supervisor and colleagues keeping them fully up to date on all aspects. That you will adopt and encourage a teamwork philosophy. At all times being Health and Safety and environmentally aware.
Due to the location of this role, approximate commutable locations for this opportunity are Saffron Walden, Bishops Stortford, Stansted, Cambridge, Newmarket, Great Chesterford, Shelford, Sawston and the surrounding areas. The role is office based out of Saffron Walden and they operate a 4.5 day week with lunchtime finishes every Friday.
