We are recruiting a Technical Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis based at our office in East Kilbride.

 

We are looking for candidates from an engineering background, perhaps being previously in a practical role and looking to retain those skills being more office-based with regular hours. For us, having an engineering background will give the experience and understanding of what is required in the field before attending a service/maintenance-related call. Working in close collaboration with the scheduler, the Technical Coordinator ensures our Service Technicians have the correct materials, equipment and instructions they need to repair or upgrade customers equipment and can perform the work safely before them attending site.

 

You will report to the Operations Manager.

 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • You'll review Service Requests and related paperwork for accurate descriptions, reviewing estimated hours/costs to ensure they are achievable, review correct asset details, consulting with Operations Manager or Field Supervisor.
  • Using our in-house system, Siebel, you'll complete and monitor all the relevant documentation and activity relating the Service Requests
  • You’ll update start and completion dates in Siebel based on anticipated delivery of materials, as well as monitoring the delivery of materials, and update team members and goods receipt when not automatically done by the system.
  • Ensure the technical planning of the work enables delivery in achieving estimated sales revenue
  • Regular review with the Scheduler based on Period Performance Report.
  • Participation within the regular WIP meetings and implementation of actions.
  • Ensure adherence to company warranty processes ensuring and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure that all work planning follows our Life Saving Behaviours and customers specific site safety instructions, including written safety documentation.
  • Remote support to Field Operatives in relation to the planned work activities.

    What we are looking for in you:

    • Applicable technical qualification in electrical/mechanical or higher engineering qualification
    • Experience working in an engineering field
    • Customer-oriented working both with customers and colleagues.
    • Safety first attitude with a broad understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
