Why this role matters

 

We plan, build, integrate and maintain BT’s infrastructure for both UK and Global Networks, creating connections that our customers trust for everything they do.  We ensure delivery of capacity to meet the ever-growing demands of our customers which enables our businesses to sell at the right cost and best customer experience. Example services we underpin are Broadband, Mobile, Ethernet and Optical; all critical to BT and the UK.

You'll have the following responsibilities

 

•    Coordinates with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, update on progress and achieve benefits.
•    Implements ways to improve team, process and service performance and suggest and implement changes to how the team operates.
•    Contributes to the development of innovative approaches and tools aimed at furthering BT Group's capabilities.
•    Driving the end-to-end delivery of technical infrastructure projects and services. 
•    Working closely with our Business colleagues in Products, Sales and Order Management to own any escalations and report on progress, issues and risks.
•    Identifying new opportunities that reduce cost and enhance the experience of our customers.
•    The management of a small team

 

 


 

You'll have the following skills and experience

 

Skills

•    Build strong relationships with our stakeholders both within and outside our organization, keeping them fully appraised of progress in delivery and any risks/issues that may arise. You will present clearly, concisely and accurately to senior levels in the organisation (Director/MD level). 
•    You will use data analysis to measure progress, identify issues and develop opportunities for improvements. Good Excel skills are desirable.
•    You coach and empower teams to anticipate and analyse obstacles in work processes. You support them to develop solutions and implement ways to improve processes and make things more efficient.
•    Some project management experience is desirable. 

 

Experience

•    Leadership - Driving a high performing team, empowering others through coaching and development.
•    Communication - Experience of communicating and presenting to senior level stakeholders the progress, risks and issues of a project.
•    Stakeholder Management – experience of engaging with external teams, identifying their needs and setting expectations. 
•    Delivery management – You drive for success against delivery commitments, articulating clearly progress, risks, issues and continually seek mitigations to drive for successful outcomes.
