JOB TITLE: Technical Delivery Manager
SALARY: £61,641 - £68,490
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh location.
About this opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and proactive Technical Delivery Manager to become a key part of a diverse team and play a crucial role in being responsible for the coordination, integration and delivery of technical components that requires cross-cutting engagement across multiple teams and third parties.
You'll work closely with our Product Owners, Engineering, Infrastructure and Enterprise/Solution Architecture specialists to ensure change is delivered and any blockers/risks are managed. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in IT project management/change delivery and possess superb communication and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities

Uses technical expertise to develop the sequence for technical integration related tasks in collaboration with the PO and Principal Engineers / Engineering Leads and aligned to the Lab backlog.
\nCatalogues and manages technology dependencies between the lab and other teams
\nCoordinates the implementation events across shared infrastructure; leads on the SI process, coordinating parties to get the change over the line.
\nWorks with stakeholders outside of the lab to ensure interlock to enable the lab to deliver at pace, including how to consume infrastructure components provided by other platforms or (within Enabling Platforms) how to make the products delivered by the Labs consumable in a self-served manner.
\nCollaborates with Labs Leadership and Product Owners Team to plan and prioritise technical integration related tasks which are often infrastructure led in nature
\nIdentifies blockers to delivery by proactively monitoring, trouble shooting and diagnosing technical issues, escalating to product owner(s) / lab leadership where required.
\nActs as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business stakeholders supporting the management of delivery of underperformance
\nManages complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery
\nProvides expertise for governance activity owned by the Product Owner
\nEnable the delivery of technology risk and control improvements

Experience of Agile project delivery and confidence in application of Agile
\nProactive and pragmatic approach
\nExcellent interpersonal skills
\nStrong stakeholder and relationship management skills (internal & external)
\nFinancial Services experience
\n

\nThere has been significant work undertaken to modernise legacy pensions applications. It is therefore desirable for the successful candidate to have knowledge of containerised microservices architecture and public cloud platforms/infrastructure.
