We are a leading housing association in the East Midlands, and we are excited to welcome a new member to our team as a Technical Inspector. As part of our friendly and supportive environment, you will play a crucial role in delivering capital works programs, planned projects, and reactive initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical inspections and surveys, including pre/post inspections and stock condition surveys.
- Develop detailed specifications of work based on inspection findings and contribute to project costings.
- Act as the point of contact for technical queries and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage contractor variations, agreements, and disputes.
- Ensure quality and performance standards are consistently achieved.
- Apply innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and ensure value for money.
About You:
- Extensive experience in Maintenance or Construction environments.
- HNC/NVQ level 4 in Building or related discipline preferred.
- Knowledge of building processes, CDM, Asbestos, and defects provisions.
- Valid SSSTS, FDIS, HHSRS certifications (or working towards them).
- Strong communication skills and a good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Proficient in IT, including job logging systems.
- Valid driving license is essential.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 6 pm
All successful candidates will be required to take a work-related test prior to the interview.
Interviews will be held on Friday 1st March 2024.
