Role is offered on mostly remote basis with occasional travel to either Leicester or London
Day to Day duties of the Role:
- Guide and support a team of engineers, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Champion the strategic evolution of our applications, with a focus on transitioning from legacy systems to advanced technologies.
- Drive technological advancements through creative testing methods to ensure our applications lead the industry.
- Take ownership of your domain, inspiring a team culture that is motivated, collaborative, and forward-thinking.
- Address complex technical challenges with hands-on solution design and a dedication to continuous enhancement.
- Collaborate with product leadership to transform product vision into a technical roadmap, guiding the execution of architectural designs.
- Actively engage in identifying and solving business challenges through technical expertise and cooperative solution finding.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in mentoring developers, focusing on continuous delivery and effective methodologies.
- Expertise in modern technology stacks, including React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), crafting scalable solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, preferably in AWS environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- History of developing strategic roadmaps and architectural plans that drive technical and product development.
- Skilled in leading experimentation and agile testing practices within a collaborative setting.
- Proven ability to partner with product leaders to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Capability to develop functional software designs that satisfy technical specifications and complement product strategies.
