Futures is delighted to be working with a very well-established Food Manufacturing business in the South Wales Area.
Due to various expansions and growth, the site is currently looking for a Technical Manager to look after the High Risk and Chilled area of the factory from a Technical and Quality Perspective.
Reporting into a Head of Technical and working in a team of 4 Technical Managers, you will be responsible for finished products are safe and conform to all relevant specifications, legislations, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities of a Technical Manager:
- Ensure that technical governance is in place to deliver audit compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and other outside organisations as required.
- Maintain HACCP team and documented HACCP system.
- Manage expectations of internal and external customers in relation to complaint investigations.
- Lead department audits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Champion and identify opportunities to develop business capability.
- Support the Head of Technical to develop strategy for Quality Culture across your department.
- Investigations into key deviations from process and customer specification and taking appropriate action.
Successful Technical Manager will have:
- Proven experience working as a Quality Manager | Technical Manager within a Food Manufacturing Company
- Good understanding of HACCP processes
- Experience in leading customer and internal audits.
- Experience working within a chilled and high-risk area. Ideally within the ready meals division.
- Food Safety qualified to a Level 3 or above.
