Are you an experienced Technical Manager seeking a new opportunity in the red meat industry? Major Recruitment are currently seeking a talented individual to join our ever–growing client's team at a BRC AA accredited abattoir in Paisley. As the Technical Manager on–site, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing all technical aspects of the abattoir operation to ensure compliance with BRC AA accreditation standards.Developing and implementing quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and meet customer requirements.Managing food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.Collaborating with production and maintenance teams to address technical issues and optimise processes for efficiency and effectiveness.Providing leadership and guidance to ensure that all staff are trained and competent in technical procedures and standards.Requirements:
Previous experience in a technical management role within the red meat industry is highly desirable.Knowledge of BRC AA accreditation standards and experience implementing quality management systems.Strong understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.Excellent communication of leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Analytical mindset with the ability to problem–solve and implement continuous improvement initiatives.A proactive approach to ensuring compliance and driving excellence in technical performance.
