Technical Manager : Highcare Fmcg

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a fantastic FMCG business recruit a Technical Manager , the role comes with a salary of circa GBP55,000 with excellent benefits.

As a Technical Manager for the plant , you will provide direction and support to the Quality Assurance Manager and manage the innovation manufacturing centre , allergen and equipment validation programs, including the technical commissioning and approval of new products and processes.

You will also coach and guide the teams in technical matters, helping them make the right food safety, quality, integrity and authenticity decisions.

you will ideally have knowledge and experience from a similar high-care, FMCG environment, working with several of the high end grocery multiples.

To give you an idea of how this Technical Manager role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

• Provide direction and support to the QA Manager
• Manage the Innovation Centre, allergen and equipment validation programs, including the technical commissioning and approval of new products and processes.
• Develop, manage and facilitate food safety quality management system policies, procedures and SOPS to meet food safety requirements

To apply for this Technical Manager role, you will need a degree in food science or equivalent and be HACCP Level 4 qualified and Food Hygiene Level 4 recognised allergen qualification. You will also require the following:

• At least two years of technical or QA Management experience with exposure to private label retailer customer requirements
• Extensive practical experience in BRC accreditation, HACPC implementation, facilitation of customer audits and quality system management
• Previous experience within a chilled, ready-to-eat manufacturing facility
