We are recruiting..... Technical Operative
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Technical Operative to joing the Factilities and Mompliance team within the Engineering Department at Muller Severnside.
The Role of Technical Operative will be based in the Utilities Plant areas to carry out operational and maintenance tasks in house including workshop & plant-based activities such as CBM & CIL on utilities equipment.
Contract: Full Time
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 2 days / 2 nights (7 -7)
Location: Severnside Dairy - Stroud
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure effective handover of information across shift
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to agreed schedules for the following equipment:
- Weekly & daily checks including but not limited to waste water, steam & combustion and refrigeration/cooling equipment
- Maintain all rotational spares; valves, instruments etc & carry out CIL schedule.
- Standard operating conditions set up and maintain
- To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
- To service adjust and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
- To use the CMMS system effectively recording information accurately.
- Utilise CMMS historical data for improvement initiatives
- To use CMMS historical data for fault trending and quick resolution for fault finding
- Support the Site roadmaps for Quality / H S / EMS / Engineering / Autonomous maintenance.
- Support improvement activities / events within facilities and engineering owned areas
- Understands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business OGSM
- Aware of how current performance impacts the bottom line
Key Skills & Experience
- Steam raising plant experience preferred
- Waste water plant operation/maintenance experience desired
- Knowledge of utilities plant such as cooling towers, refrigeration systems etc considered
- Electrical or mechanical experience
- Asset care experience is beneficial
- Experience working in a processing or utilties environment
- Experience of LOTO procedures beneficial.
