Title and Summary

Technical Product Manager

Location: Dublin, London, Copenhagen

Main purpose of the role

In the Payments Product Team, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager to work with our technology & product teams to deliver Open Banking solutions that simply work. Our division executes on our strategy to build the future of financial services with a focus on convenience, automation and personalization. The division has full end-to-end responsibility for building high-quality payment and data products for each of our customer segments within Open Banking. Your colleagues will be best-in-class developers and Product Managers. Our efforts are structured around small squads of 3-6 developers with Product Managers and key functional units such as operations, business analytics and compliance to support the teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about both understanding the customer and the business, while working with technology teams to deliver outstanding solutions.

Overview

We develop our products based on business needs, market opportunities and technology trends - and at the intersection of the Product and Engineering teams, you will own your own epics and drive the deliverables from specification over implementation and into production. This is where we need you to coordinate between highly interdependent teams of Developers, Product and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements and clear any impediments.

Responsibilities
  1. Elicits and decomposes business requirements into platform requirements and user stories in cooperation with the engineering team
  2. Own and manage product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by the respective target audiences
  3. Improve team processes that accelerate delivery, drive innovation, lower costs and improve quality.
  4. Continuously monitor the feature development at feature level adjusting throughout implementation as needed
  5. Review product demos against acceptance criteria for the feature-set
  6. Prepare launches and monitoring performance, adoption and operational health for the feature set
  7. Support and participate in the daily operations and iterations around our existing product portfolio
Key Experience & Competencies

Essential:

  • You are extremely organised, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Sound analytical skills are essential, i.e. the ability to take high level requirements and drill these down into detailed functional requirements under your own initiative.
  • You can facilitate requirements gathering for complex applications by working with stakeholder and development team lead for the creation, analysis, and elaboration of high-quality user stories to guide development and QA
  • You are self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success within a team environment.
  • Comfortable working at a detailed level with interface specifications and doing related data mappings to and from APIs
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Excellent English skills verbally as in writing

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the Financial Services Industry, payment infrastructure and the payment ecosystem is a bonus, but not essential
