Our GAHM IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organisational capabilities for our animal health manufacturing division. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation. The Technical Product Manager will from part of the global animal health manufacturing digital strategy team, focused on transforming our
manufacturing operations through innovation and adoption of new digital technologies. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for
managing digital products through their end to end lifecycle from concept to retirement.

The Technical Product Manager will:

  • Own the product through its entire lifecycle; are experts in the business processes they are enabling and deeply understand stakeholders and their needs
  • Set the product vision, create roadmaps, and strategy, ensuring value and user experience are measured and achieved
  • Define the guidelines for developing business cases for complex products, systems and/or software
  • Review and ensure the business case appropriately captures business needs and value add
  • Assess alignment between requirements, solutions and eventual outcomes Leverage technical knowledge to operate in a digital environment
  • Work closely with technical SMEs and technical job families

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a product(s) throughout the duration of the product lifecycle
  • Define the overall product vision and strategy with a keen focus on value, business outcome, and user experience
  • Make product decisions, and ensure decisions align with product strategy
  • Adopt strategic views about evolution of engineer needs
  • Develop and regularly calibrate metrics for the product(s)
  • Drive continuous product discovery to understand user needs and translate that to solutions and product backlog
  • Create, maintain, and continuously prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivery and long-term sustainability
  • Lead adoption and retention of the product
  • Drive release and support planning and execution (go to market)
  • Connect delivery squads with the customers and facilitate direct communication
  • Monitor and optimize product's total cost of ownership (TCO)

Technical Specifications

  • Degree in IT or equivalent
  • Experience in IT Product Manager/business analyst role
  • Experience working in cross functional teams
  • Experience working in digital role (Product owner, SCRUM master etc.)
  • Knowledge of life sciences or healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of Agile Values, principles & practices
