SalaryWe have an opportunity for a Technical Product Manager to own an exciting portfolio of space imaging products.
Our client is known for being at the forefront of technology and they're a top player in creating cutting-edge products for space/satellite industries and healthcare.
This role requires someone to be experienced with systems engineering and project management.
Role/Responsibilities:
- The product portfolio will consist of a select group of high performance, high reliability CMOS imaging detectors for a large range of space applications.
- Work with a wide range of customers, from commercial satellite manufacturers to major space institutions such as the European Space Agency, the UK Space Agency and NASA.
- Travel to visit exhibitions, conferences, and customers to advertise the CMOS product line in the space industry.
- Provide technical support to bid managers during the bid process, defining the technical scope of the project and support with commercial aspects. Some instances would require you to act as bid manager.
- Scope and execute capex and research & development projects to develop the product portfolio with the aim of releasing new products and driving continuous improvement.
- Owning the product roadmap, driving the product strategy both from a technological and commercial perspective.
- Develop the product vision for the CMOS product line.
Experience/Skills:
- Broad understanding in engineering backed by industry experience and/or degree level qualifications
- Experience of systems engineering / systems engineering principals
- Good commercial awareness
- Technology or manufacturing experience; or experience in the space/defence or semiconductor industry is preferable
- Project management skills
- Some knowledge of CMOS technology (training provided)
- An interest in science and technology
