We are looking for someone who can manage a project from initiation to implementation and has excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of Technical Projects covering time, scope and quality
StepChange are the UK’s largest and most comprehensive provider of free debt advice. Hundreds of thousands of people come to us for help every year. Some are at crisis point and many don't see a way out. We help them to find a way out of their debt problems. We don't judge people; we provide the support, guidance and solutions that are needed. Whatever the situation we'll look for practical solutions that make our clients' lives better.
With this role you will enjoy a hybrid working model, combining working from home with some days in the office.
What you will be doing
- Lead multiple technical change projects from idea to implementation delivering to agreed scope, cost, quality and timescales, effectively managing conflicting deadlines and priorities with multiple stakeholders
- Define and implement the detailed delivery approach for each stage of the project life cycle and obtain acceptance and buy in to the approach from all team members
- Work collaboratively with sponsor and other leadership team members to define robust project cost benefit analyses
- Produce all project management deliverables
- Ensure project costs are managed appropriately
- Monitor, manage and report project status and progress appropriately to stakeholders
What we want from you
- Experience of leading projects – in particular projects of a technical nature
- A technical background, with the ability to understand technical concepts and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience of working with third party suppliers
- Extensive experience of stakeholder management and engaging with senior executives
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate, productively challenge established ways of thinking and influence at all levels
- Financial awareness and budgeting skills
- Ability to engage and motivate people in support of project objectives
