PRG is currently recruiting for a Technical/Quality Manager to join our clients team, working on a Diaphragm Wall project, based just outside of Inverness.
As Quality & Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the project deliverables are carried out to a professional level, on time and to budget, whilst maintaining high standards of Health and Safety and quality.
Duties and responsibilities
- Review and implementation of PQP and Work Methods
- Plan and propose operational schedules for resources and equipment and review the resources requirements
- Monitoring project for schedule, quality and take necessary proactive corrective steps
- Supervision of design and drawings management
- Identifying, nurturing, and reporting on best practices.
- Development and support of Site Engineering and Supervisors
- Ensuring that all personnel are familiar with and have access to the quality policy, procedures and RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) pertinent to their duties
- Ensuring that the KPI's set are integrated into working practices and reporting structures
- Ensuring all over-arching quality policy documents and related quality documentation are up-to-date and reviewed annually, or when there is significant change
- Verifying that approved procedures are adopted, and that non-conformances are reported and actioned
- Liaising with Project Managers, Supervisors, Planners, Subcontractors and Surveyors
Skills and experience
- Knowledge of Diaphragm Wall, piling/geotechnical works is highly desirable
- Experience in implementing and managing quality management systems
- Experience leading teams, managing projects, and overseeing operations to achieve organisational goals efficiently and effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persistence and determination
- Ability to lead and adapt to change, whilst minimising disruption to operations
