Position & Authority:
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Technical Sales Manager. You will be an integral part of our operations, frequently interacting with various departments such as sales, production, expediting, subcon, and quality personnel. Your role is not just about following instructions; you will have the authority and responsibility to question any instruction that you believe to be incorrect and raise your concern with all of these departments.
General Duties Your responsibilities will be diverse and dynamic, including but not limited to:
- Order Entry: You will handle order entry for both Domestic (UK clients) and Export clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Sales Support: You will be a key support to the sales team, liaising with a large customer base, and helping to maintain and grow our relationships.
- Job Building: Based on orders being processed, you will build jobs, considering the most efficient and cost-effective methods.
- Purchase Orders: You will place purchase orders with local suppliers following instruction against the order being processed, ensuring the best value and timely delivery.
- System Management: You will scan orders in the system, filing according to system structure, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information.
- Job Cards: If required, you will raise internal job cards against individual orders, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
- General Housekeeping: You will maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Additional Duties: You will perform any other administrative duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Learning and Development: Being self-motivated, you will be willing to learn and develop further into this role. You must be confident and willing to ask if unsure. Full training will be provided to support your growth in the role.
Requirements The ideal candidate should have:
- Special Fastener Estimating Experience: Proven experience in Special Fastener estimating is essential. You should be able to interpret technical drawings & specifications.
- Computer Literacy: You should be computer literate, with knowledge of Excel & Word. Your role will involve significant data management and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are crucial. You will be interacting with various stakeholders, both within and outside the organization.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is important in ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your role.
- Sales Experience: Sales experience would be advantageous, but not essential. However, experience in a similar admin role is required.
