Technical Sales Manager
Bedfordshire
£45k - £65k (dep on exp) + Commission + Car allowance
An award-winning manufacturer of high-technology scientific & electronics instrumentation require a proactive and dynamic hands-on Technical Sales Manager with experience to join their growing facility in Bedfordshire. This global leader design and manufacture a range of test equipment for the electronics and semiconductor markets, ranging from hand-held to large high value bench-based devices which are often bespoke to individual customer requirements.
The Technical Sales Manager will have a solid technical background in a mechanical or electronics discipline with experience working on high value capital equipment and instrumentation. This is a key position within this organisation; the Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for hands-on sales of all product lines with clients spanning the EU and US. Working alongside other members of the Sales Team, the Technical Sales Manager will be based from the Bedfordshire office but also travel to clients from time to time.
This role will suit a technically minded sales person who is open to working with all personnel on site, who doesn't mind being hands-on with the teams. With a new product line coming to market in January 2024, this is a very exciting time to join this expanding technology development company!
The successful candidate will need to have most of, if not all of the following skills and experience:
* HND or above in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related subject
* A proven track record in strategic sales management across the globe
* Technical sales background such as high-tech instrumentation, high-precision engineering, industrial automation, or even test & measurement.
* Experience within high value/low volume system sales.
* A strong interpersonal communicator & negotiator
* Experience within Semiconductor equipment industry would be advantageous.
* Experience of strategic business development and commercial awareness
* The ability to accurately target and approach new customers and produce quotes.
