Technical Sales Manager

Are you an experienced Technical Sales Manager looking for a progressive opportunity (potentially up to Managing Director in the future) with a growing, well-established manufacturing business?  
I've been retained by a manufacturing firm, based near Stourport-on-Severn, who are currently looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager / Commercial Manager to lead their small sales team.  
This will be an autonomous, influential & incredibly varied role.  You'll be responsible for devising & implementing the sales strategy for the business.  Leading a team of 4 (one BDM, three inbound sales), you'll look to identify potential new market areas/target customers & make a plan to penetrate those with a view to generating new revenue.  This is a "player-manager" type role, we're looking for a proactive Technical Sales Manager, who will lead from the front in terms of picking up key accounts & developing new business where possible.  

The business is growing, both organically & through acquisition (with more acquisitions planned), so you will look to both monitor performance, coach & grow the team as the business grows in order to take advantage of further market opportunities.  As the business grows, the plan at this stage, is for this person to develop into the Managing Director role - so this is a huge opportunity for someone who is keen to develop & broaden their skillset. 

In order to be considered for this role, you'll need to have a strong Technical Sales background, from a manufacturing or engineering background.  You will have experience of leading & managing a team, have developed & implemented sales strategies - whilst also keeping your hand in from an account management & business development perspective.  You will also need to live within a commutable distance to Stourport-on-Severn, as this will be an office-based role.
